Two Nesquehoning brothers and businessmen were honored last night by the Panther Valley Chamber of Commerce for their civic contributions to the Carbon County area.

John J. and Joseph Kovatch, both car dealers, were presented Civic Achievement Awards during the sixth annual awards dinner held at the Mahoning Valley Country Club.

Sandra Delpero, chamber president, presented the brothers the awards. Participants included Agnes McCartney, director of the Manpower Program in the county, and Robert Lazorchick, who spoke about the Kovatch brothers’ commitment to the region.
