Enter the Haggis and its brand of Celtic rock lead the pack of entertainment highlights coming to local and regional venues over the next couple of weeks.

The Canadian band, formed in the mid-1990s, will perform at Mauch Chunk Opera House. The latter will also host acts such as Serene Green and the Badlees. Penn’s Peak, meanwhile, will feature tributes to Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers and the Allman Brothers Band.

In the retro-film world, Lehighton’s Mahoning Drive-In Theater will celebrate Quentin Tarantino and the “Halloween” franchise with themed weekends.

Over in Stroudsburg, actor/bassist Keanu Reeves’ band Dogstar will rock the Sherman Theater.

• End of the Line, 8 p.m. Oct. 6. The group, performing the music of the Allman Brothers Band, takes its name from the rock band’s same-titled 1991 track.

• Islands in the Stream, 1 p.m. Oct. 17, 18 and 19. Karen Hester and Dave Karl perform the music of as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, respectively. The tribute act takes its name from Parton and Rogers’ same-titled 1983 duet.

• Nyke Van Wyk & Friends: 8 p.m. Oct. 6. Van Wyk, a violinist, blends his classical and Celtic training with a contemporary style.

• 70s Flashback, 8 p.m. Oct. 7. The band performs 1970s music, including genres such as rock, pop, folk, soul, disco and punk.

• Serene Green, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12. Based in northeastern Pennsylvania, the traditional bluegrass band features, among others, Quentin Fisher, Michael Johnson and Katelynn Casper.

• Beginnings, 8 p.m. Oct. 14. The tribute act, performing the music of pop-rock act Chicago, takes its name from the same-titled 1969 Chicago track.

• The Badlees, 6:30 p.m. Oct. 15. The roots rock band, formed in 1990 in Selinsgrove, features, among others, Pete Palladino and Bret Alexander.

• Enter the Haggis, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Formed in 1995 in Toronto, the Celtic rock band features original member Craig Downie, along with Brian Buchanan, Trevor Lewington, Bruce McCarthy, Tom Barraco, Rose Baldino and Caroline Browning.

• “RuPaul’s Drag Race: Night of the Living Dead,” 8 p.m. Oct. 7. The 12th annual tour, featuring queens from “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” includes host Yvie Oddly, as Rod Serling of “The Twilight Zone.” Other queens include Angeria, Denali and Jaida Essence Hall.

• Gipsy Kings, 8 p.m. Oct. 14. The group, formed in 1978 in southern France, features co-founder and leader Nicolas Reyes. Gipsy Kings, which brought sounds of progressive pop-oriented flamenco to audiences, performs mostly in Catalan, though mixes in Spanish with southern French dialects.
