Jerusalem UCC

Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton, is celebrating its 175th anniversary with a dedication and open house following its Oct. 15 worship service. The service is at 10 a.m. The open house is from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

The 17th anniversary cookbook, which includes 239 recipes, photos and the history of the church, is also for sale.

• JUCC will hold its apple and fall festival from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday. It includes music by The Hawks from noon to 3 p.m.

• A Fall Basket Raffle and Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Nov. 4. In addition to the basket raffle, there will be holiday items and baked goods for sale.

• Worship service takes place at 10 a.m. every Sunday with the Rev. Marian Johnson, pastor, presiding.

Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m. You can worship in person or on Facebook Live.

• Oct. 29: 6 p.m. youth group

• A Veterans’ Luncheon is planned for 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the church fellowship hall. All veterans and their spouses are welcome. Call the church office to register or sign up in the lobby.

• Nov. 12: PA Adult and Teen Challenge will perform during both worship services. They will sing and give their personal testimonies to provide hope to families impacted by substance abuse.

• Dec. 2: Grace Notes Gospel Big Band Concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. The event is open to the public.
