A motorcyclist was seriously injured Monday night when involved in a crash along Route 248 in Parryville. The accident occurred just after 7 p.m. at the Parryville exit.

A witness at the scene reported the biker attempted to turn left onto Route 248 east when he pulled out into the path of a westbound car. The biker and the bike were found along the berm of the westbound lane.

The victim was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics before being flown by MedEvac 1 to a Lehigh Valley area trauma center.

Parryville and Bowmanstown fire companies responded. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
