No one was injured in an incident at 5:05 p.m. Sept. 21 on Route 248 in Palmerton.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said it happened when a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Brian W. Benton, 52, of Palmerton, and a 2020 Audi operated by Brandy A. Westwood, 49, also of Palmerton, were both westbound on the highway.

They said the Audi was traveling behind the Jeep when what is believed to be a rock struck the windshield causing a small crack.

Police said Westwood was able to wave down Benton to exchange information.
