A. Donald Behler, president of Blue Ridge Pressure Castings, Lehighton, was recognized with the Minsi Trails Council 2009 Good Scout Award during the council’s annual breakfast program held Thursday at the Blue Ridge Country Club, Palmerton.

The award was presented by Delbert LeVan, who said it goes to the individual who demonstrated “selfless dedication and care for their community, which constitutes the essence of our area’s proud spirit.”

Behler, 83, of Palmerton, first became involved in Boy Scouting at the age of 12 and has been a friend of scouting for over 70 years, including having served on the council’s executive board for over 30 years.
