State police at the Lehighton barracks said a 40-year-old Lehighton female is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop they made at 5:05 p.m. Sept. 20 at the intersection of Lehigh Avenue and Hazard Square in Jim Thorpe.

Police said she was stopped for a motor vehicle violation in a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker and refused chemical testing at the scene.
