State police at the Lehighton barracks said a complainant who recently purchased a home on Floyd Drive, Polk Township, found a firearm there and turned it over to police.
The homeowner brought the weapon to the barracks at 6:42 p.m. Sept. 20 and had no contact information for the registered owner of the gun.
Police said they had made several attempts to contact the owner of the gun.
