A Palmerton area company is the victim in a check theft case.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said a representative of Structural Metal Fabricators, 1226 Little Gap Road, Lower Towamensing Township, reported to their barracks at 9:34 p.m. Sept. 21 to report the incident.

The company representative said a check written from the firm in the amount of $13,412.15 was stolen from the firm at about 5:24 p.m. Sept. 14.
