STATE POLICE AT LEHIGHTON

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on the following incidents:

• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened between 11 p.m. Sept. 14 and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 15 on Horseshoe Lane, East Penn Township.

A Lehighton resident reported someone smashed the driver’s side window of the vehicle.

• A 15-year-old Saylorsburg girl who police said was the victim of an indecent assault incident at a residence on Spring House Drive, Ross Township, refused to cooperate with police who arrived there.

Police said the incident that involved sexual contact happened between 4:30-6:30 p.m. Sept. 12.

• Police were summoned to a “forcible rape” report at 10:21 p.m. Aug. 30 in the parking lot of the Walmart store, Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East, Mahoning Township.

Police said a 30-year-old woman from Tobyhanna reported the incident took place in an International Harvester truck.

But police said further investigation determined both parties engaged in consensual sexual activities.

• Police said Patricia L. Walck, 72, of North Port, Florida, left the scene of a minor crash at 8:54 p.m. Sept. 2 in the parking lot of a business off Blue Ridge Road in Ross Township.

Police said she was driving a 2010 Toyota Prius that backed into a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and left the scene. Police said a witness was able to obtain the registration number of the Prius.

• A 53-year-old East Stroudsburg man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop.

Police said he was stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code violation while driving a 2013 Harley Davidson at 2:04 a.m. Sept. 17 at the intersection of Weir Lake Road and Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.

He is also charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Police charged a 39-year-old Lehighton man with harassment by physical contact after they responded to an incident at 10:07 p.m. Sept. 16 at a property on Oak Grove Road in Mahoning Township.

A 38-year-old Lehighton woman told police the man shoved her.

• A Saylorsburg teen is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver after state police at the Lehighton barracks were summoned to a property on Mountain Road, Ross Township, at 11:28 a.m. Sept. 13.

Police said their response was to a domestic incident, after which time the woman, 18, confessed to possessing drugs with intentions of delivering them.

• Aaron Grover, 33, of Jim Thorpe, was committed to the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning, on a charge of receiving stolen property. State police at the Lehighton barracks made a traffic stop and learned the 2014 Nissan Rogue that Grover was driving was a stolen vehicle.

Police said he was stopped at 11:05 p.m. Aug. 31 at the intersection of Choctaw Road and Cheyenne Circle, Penn Forest Township, and was taken into custody without incident. Police said he was later released from the jail after posting bail.
