Harley McFarland, 55, of Lehighton, was charged by state police at the Lehighton barracks with fleeing or attempting to elude police after they were called to an incident at 7:15 a.m. Sept. 15.

It happened at 170 Horseshoe Lane, East Penn Township, after police were summoned to assist the Lehigh County Sheriff’s Department in serving a warrant on McFarland.

Police said he fled the scene but was taken into custody without incident.
