State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a littering/scattering rubbish case.

Police said they were called at 12:08 a.m. Sept. 6 to the area of Dairy and Golf roads in Lower Towamensing Township where they discovered several trash bags, a discarded mattress and loose trash along Dairy Road.

Police said a witness reported he saw an older-style flatbed truck dump the trash and continue traveling north on Dairy Road.
