A 12-year-old girl from Jim Thorpe was cited by state police at the Lehighton barracks with harassment by physical contact after police were called to the Palmerton Area High School grounds, Fireline Road, Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said they were summoned there at 9:02 p.m. Sept. 8 when they were told the Jim Thorpe girl assaulted a 12-year-old girl from Palmerton, resulting a non-traffic citation.
