State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating the theft of a lawn mower and two trimmers from the Tractor Supply store, 124 New Brodheadsville Boulevard South, Chestnuthill Township.

It happened between 2:33 and 3:04 a.m. Sept. 1 when someone cut the cable used to secure items that are for sale in front of the store. The suspect is described as a man who was wearing dark-colored clothing, a face covering, hoodie and gloves. He was driving a dark-colored SUV, police said.

Stolen were a Toro 21-inch Super Recycler Personal Pace lawn mower worth $799.99, a Toro 22-inch Briggs and Stratton trimmer and mower valued at $579.99, and a Toro Walk Behind string mower with a value of $429.99.
