September 9, 1992 - The Tamaqua boys and girls cross country teams both pick up wins in their Schuylkill League openers. Kevin Truskey leads a string of Blue Raiders that finish second through 10th place to register victories over Cardinal Brennan and Minersville. Kyle Dunkelberger takes third, while Mike Ruggeri finishes fourth. Brennan’s Jeff Talerico wins the race in a time of 18:07. In the girls meet, Patti Stahl takes first in 22:45 to lead Tamaqua to a victory over the Miners and Chargers. The Raiders also receive a runner-up finish from Nicole Foose.
