State police at Lehighton reported on area crashes:
• Two people had minor injuries in a two-car crash at 2:42 p.m. Aug. 22 on Interchange Road (Route 209) in Towamensing Township.
Police said Louise A. Weingartner, 67, of Gilbert, was transported by Lehighton Ambulance Association personnel to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township. She was a passenger in a car driven by Lawrence R. Weingartner, 66, also of Gilbert, who police said was treated by personnel from the Palmerton Community Ambulance Association but refused a medical transport.
Police did not provide the other details of the incident, except to say the other driver was Ronald H. Moeck, 53, of Palmerton. He was uninjured.
• Dana A. Rocco, 31, of Albrightsville, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-vehicle crash at 6:36 a.m. Aug. 30 on the Jonas Road in Polk Township. She was uninjured.
Police said she was driving a 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan east and was traveling too fast for conditions when she lost control of the vehicle. It crossed the double yellow lines and struck a tree off the roadway. Police said the car continued to turn 180 degrees before coming to rest on the westbound shoulder of the road.
Police said Rocco refused medical treatment at the scene.
