Ryan Patrick Nelson, 23, of Lehighton, was charged by Lehighton police Officer Matthew B. Bender with two counts of terroristic threats on June 20, 2022.
Carbon County Judge Steven R. Serfass sentenced him to serve 18 days to one day less than 24 months in jail, with credit for the 18 days he’d served. He was placed on probation for 24 months following his release.
Judge Serfass also ordered him to pay a $100 LiveScan fee; a $50 monthly supervision fee; court costs; have no contact with the victims; obtain drug and alcohol and mental health evaluations, and perform 200 hours of community service.
Daniel K. Meier, 35, of Danielsville, Northampton County, was charged by Jim Thorpe Police Officer Ryan J. Poeldnurk with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia on Sept. 30, 2022.
He admitted to the paraphernalia charge, and Judge Serfass sentenced him to pay court costs; pay a $100 LiveScan fee; a $50 monthly supervision fee; serve 12 months on probation; obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation, and perform 50 hours of community service.
John Joseph Chivalette III, 59, of White Haven, was charged by Kidder Township police with four counts each of harassment and disorderly conduct on April 5.
He pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly conduct. The remaining charges were dropped.
Judge Serfass ordered him to pay a $100 LiveScan fee; a $50 monthly supervision fee; court costs; serve 12 months on probation; obtain drug and alcohol and mental health evaluations; and have no contact with the victim.
Kidder Township police also charged Chivalette with harassment and disorderly conduct on March 24.
In that case, Judge Serfass on the disorderly conduct charge imposed the same sentence, to be served after the completion of the first sentence.
