State police at the Frackville barracks were summoned to investigate an armed robbery at 9:15 p.m. Monday in Schuylkill County.

It happened at the Sheppton Mini Mart, 974 Center St., Sheppton.

Police said a man entered the store wearing all-black clothing and a black mask, brandishing a small handgun. Police said the man demanded the money from the cash register and ordered the store employees to enter a cooler before he ran off with $700 in cash, traveling north towards Hazle Township.
