Darren Plaza, 35, of Philadelphia, was committed to the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning, after a traffic stop conducted by state police at the Lehighton barracks at 9:11 a.m. Aug. 26.

Police said they stopped him in a 2008 Saab for Title 75 violations at the intersection of Pohopoco Drive and Pine Run Road in Towamensing Township and learned there are in-state and out-of-state warrants issued against him.
