State police at the Stroudsburg barracks are investigating the theft of about 20 gallons of fuel oil from a utility tractor in Hamilton Township.

Police said they were called at 9:43 a.m. Aug. 27 to a property on idle Easton Belmont Pike where a 53-year-old Stroudsburg man, reported he went to move his tractor and found the gas was empty due to siphoning.

Police said the estimated loss is $75.
