August 28, 2004 - Tamaqua sophomore Isaac Dunkelberger pulls away from the 258 others runners in the Truskey Memorial 5K Run to take first place and defend his title. Dunkelberger, coming off a high school season in which he earned a Schuylkill League championship, crosses the finish line in a time of 16:44. Weatherly senior Mike Miller places second in the annual benefit, posting a time of 17:16. Lisa Haas of Orwigsburg wins the women’s 5K run, although Tamaqua sophomore Alexa Griffiths is the first high school finisher in the race. Palmerton’s Shane Anthony takes second in the men’s 10K race, while Summit Hill’s Chris Reiber is also runner-up in the women’s 10K.
