Northern Lehigh School District’s current health and safety plan will remain as is for the 2023-2024 school year.

Superintendent Dr. Matthew J. Link told the school board last week that the district was at the six-month point where it has to publicly consider revising its health and safety plan.

Link said the district’s health sand safety plan is available on the homepage of the district’s website.

“I am recommending that we make no changes to the health and safety plan; we stay status quo with how we ended last school year, which is truly minimal interventions or restrictions throughout our buildings,” Link said.

I’m hoping if any school board members want to consider changing the plan, (the administrative recommendation) is that we keep the plan status quo.”

Link noted that the district will have to continue to review the plan every six months through September of 2024.

The plan is posted on the district website.
