Atahualpa Santana-Martinez, 28, of Providence, Rhode Island, was charged by state police at Frackville with shoplifting after they were called to the Walmart store, 35 Plaza Drive, Rush Township (Hometown), at 12:15 a.m. Aug. 11.

Police said it is alleged that Santana-Martinez put two televisions valued at $516 into his shopping cart and walked by the cash register area, exiting the store without paying for them.

Police said he was taken into custody and identified by state police from Hazleton after he attempted to steal two more televisions from the Walmart store located at 761 Airport Road, Hazle Township.
