State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incident responses troopers made:

• A response to a domestic dispute resulted in a 46-year-old Jim Thorpe man being arrested for possession of controlled substances. They were called at 11:39 p.m. July 28 to a property on Mountain View Drive West, Penn Forest Township, and upon arrival found the man to be in possession of drugs.

• John Paul Blickos, 23, of Nashville, North Carolina, was uninjured when a 2016 Kia Sportage he was driving at 8:55 p.m. Aug. 6 on Route 903 in Penn Forest Township struck a deer that entered the roadway. The car sustained front-end damages and was towed from the scene.

• Matthew Moench, 20, of Jim Thorpe, was charged for possession of controlled substances after a traffic stop at 10:54 p.m. July 22 at the intersection of Behrens Road and Edward Lane in Penn Forest Township.

Police said he was stopped for multiple Motor Vehicle Code violations while driving a 2009 Nissan Rogue. Police said Moench was in possession of multiple THC vape cartridges and a small amount of marijuana.

• A 28-year-old Kunkletown woman was charged with harassment by physical contact after an incident at 10:58 a.m. July 31 on Ash Lane in Polk Township.

A 24-year-old Kunkletown woman said the roommates were involved in an argument regarding the victim moving out. After they took a ride to “air things out,” the accused shoved the victim when she tried to go back into the house, police said.

• A 21-year-old Northampton man reported a theft at 3:33 p.m. July 7.

Someone stole the license plate off his motorcycle along Interchange Road in Towamensing Township.

• A 34-year-old Lehighton man was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop at 3:21 a.m. Aug. 5.

Police stopped him at the intersection of Bowman and North Kittatinny roads in East Penn Township while he was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker.
