At its annual Summer Splash Customer Appreciation Party representatives from the Jim Christman Team – Keller Williams Real Estate awarded grants to three area nonprofit organizations. The recipients are Carbon County Friends of Animals, $1,000; Palmerton Summer Recreation, $750, and CACPAC Food Pantry, $500.

The grants are from the Christman Team Cares Fund, a charitable fund established at the Carbon County Community Foundation by Jim and Tiffani Christman.

The Jim Christman Team hosted a poll on its Facebook page asking the community to vote to help decide which nonprofits would receive the grants this year. The five organizations nominated by the Christmans to participate in the poll this year were CACPAC/Palmerton Area Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels of Palmerton, Palmerton Area Veterans Memorial Committee, Palmerton Summer Recreation Committee, and the Carbon County Friends of Animals. Voting ended on July 20.
