Dark-haired, blue-eyed Ann Humphries, 22, of 500 Franklin Ave., Palmerton, was the winner of the Miss Tri-State beauty pageant last night at the House of Hemisphere, Mount Pocono. Twenty-six young women participated in the event.

Miss Humphries, daughter of Mrs. Helen Humphries, is a graduate of Cedar Crest College, Allentown, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She enjoys theater and plays the piano and organ.

Runners-up were Ellen Frantz, 22, of Marion, first, and Barbara Shelton, 17, of Philadelphia, second.

Miss Humphries is now eligible to participate in the national Miss North American contest to be held Aug. 19-23 at the House of Hemisphere.
