Palmerton High School graduate Emma Martinez was recently awarded a scholarship by the Lehigh Valley Road Runners Club.

LVRR scholarship committee member Tina Hertel made the presentation to Martinez, who was a standout member of the Bombers’ cross country and track teams during her career.

Martinez will be attending Pepperdine University in the fall.
