State police at Stroudsburg have reported the following incidents:
• Raul Alvarado, 24, of, New York, New York, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance following a one-vehicle crash at 7:23 a.m. July 17 on Route 33 in Ross Township.
Police said he was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound when he lost control of it, crossed the fog line, struck an embankment and rolled the vehicle before landing right-side-up. Alvarado was uninjured.
• Jillian L. Sanchez, 18, of East Stroudsburg, was cited f after a one-vehicle crash at 10:52 a.m. July 29 on Route 209 in Hamilton Township.
Police said she was driving a Ford Focus was stopped at the intersection with Hickory Valley Road. Police said as she make a turn, she panicked and turned right causing the Focus to hit an embankment.
She and a passenger, Lisa Anne Palmisano, 60, of Nazareth, were uninjured.
The car was towed from the scene.
• A 66-year-old Stroudsburg woman is out $12,000 in a theft by deception incident that was reported to police on July 18.
It happened at a property on Deer Park Drive in Hamilton Township.
Police said the victim sent $12,000 to an unknown source via Facebook Messenger and the U.S. Postal Service.
• Police said a warrant is out for a 31-year-old East Stroudsburg man who has been charged with strangulation after a domestic incident at 12:35 a.m. July 29 on Alburtus Lane in Middle Smithfield Township.’
A 28-year-old woman from Saylorsburg told police the man strangled her during an argument. Police said he fled the scene.
