A Northampton County man with outstanding warrants faces charges after methamphetamine and a gun were found following a traffic stop earlier this month.
At 12:15 a.m. July 20, Lehighton Police Department initiated a traffic stop on Route 248 eastbound right before State Road for a registration that was expired in June.
During the investigation, it was confirmed that the man, identified as Dale M. Glover, gave multiple false names, but he was identified when his ID card fell out of his pocket.
Police learned that Glover had two outstanding warrants.
Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were in plain view of the vehicle, according to police.
A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle and during the search there was a .22 Caliber loaded pistol inside the glove box.
Glover was taken to the Carbon County Correctional Facility on the outstanding warrants and is awaiting charges on possession with intent to deliver, false ID to law enforcement, resisting arrest, and felon not to possess firearm.
