Senior Center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of July 31-Aug. 4 is:

Monday: Hot Dog, Potato Wedges, Baked Beans, Watermelon or Beef Club Sandwich

Tuesday: Chicken Marsala, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Pudding or Ham and Swiss Sandwich

Wednesday: Onion Soup, Swedish Meatballs, Buttered Noodles, Carrots, Fruit Salad or Beef Caesar Salad

Thursday: Rotisserie Chicken, Sweet Potatoes, Cauliflower and Peas, Cookie or Egg Salad Sandwich

Friday: Cheeseburger, Diced Potatoes, Broccoli Slaw, Cantaloupe or Tossed Salad with Turkey

The center also has announced upcoming events.

Ladderball on July 31 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Aug. 1 at 10:45 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Aug. 2 at 11 a.m.; Van Trip to Heisler’s on Aug. 3 after lunch; Wii Bowling on Aug. 4 at 11 a.m.

Picnic at the Nesquehoning Fire Company on Aug. 7 at 9:30 a.m.; Bingo on Aug. 8 at 10:45 a.m.; Game Day on Aug. 9 at 10 a.m.; Sunshine Meeting on Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. followed by Po-Keeno at 11 a.m.; Skeeball Tournament on Aug. 11 at 11 a.m.

Cards, pool, games, available daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Carbon Navy Club

The Carbon County Navy Club meeting is at 6 p.m. Monday at the Nesquehoning VFW, 300 E. Center St. Veterans of all services are welcome, and new members are welcome. Bring DD-214 with you.
