July 27, 2006 - After blowing a seven-run lead, the West All-Stars tally a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to gain a 9-8 victory in the annual Panther Valley Little League Tournament all-star game. The East squad, trailing 8-1, rallies for seven runs in the top of the eighth. Summit Hill’s Jordan Weber slugs a two-run homer and Anthony Encarnacion of Jim Thorpe delivers a three-run triple to highlight the comeback. In the home eighth, Jarred Muffley of Tamaqua walks and Lansford’s Thad Ogozalek singles. Billy Angst of Tamaqua hits a grounder and Muffley beats the throw home for the winning run. Ogozalek finishes the contest with three hits and four RBIs, while Angst ends with two hits and knocks in a pair.
