The Monroe County Commissioners approved:
• Sheriff’s Office Overtime for the period ending June 18 - deputies - 48.50 hours; security - 19.75 hours; clerks - 7.75 hours. For the period ending July 2: deputies - 15.25 hours, security - 46 hours, Clerks - 6 hours.
• Vouchers payable - $3,864,936.16, week ending June 23; $1,201,883.90, week ending June 30; $1,529,143.41 for the week ending July 7, and $5,017,972.77 for the week ending July 14.
• Gross payroll: $1,392,466.01 for the week ending June 18; and $1,346,125.42 for the week ending July 2.
• Healthcare benefits payments: Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield - $87,207.98 on June 20; $88,516.45 on June 27; and $120,230.17 on July 11; Geisinger - $146,876.38 on June 20; $97,023.55 on June 27; $134,676.48 on July 11.
• Monroe County Children & Youth Services: Reappoint Vicki Cobb to the Advisory Board with a term to expire May 31, 2026; reappoint Lavern Lynch to the Monroe County Children and Youth Advisory Board with a new term to expire July 31, 2026; appoint Carlos Gomez to the Monroe County Children and Youth Advisory Board with a term to expire July 19, 2026; service agreements - Community Services Foundation, $90,000; New Way Youth Services, $150,000; the Impact Project Inc., $75,000; Faith, Hope & Charity Foster Care Agency Inc., $90,000; Outside In School of Experimental Education Inc., $120,000; ratify submittal of the Third Quarter 2022-2023 C&Y Fiscal Report in the amount of $11,468,883.
• Commissioners’ Office: Ratify the 2023/2024 Fiscal Year Budgets as follows: Children & Youth - $19,000,799; Area Agency on Aging - $3,865,152; Grants Administration Dept. - $84,041; State Food Purchase Program - $264,407; Human Service Development Fund $93,807; Homeless Assistance Program - $50,195; Emergency Solutions Grant 22-24 - $269,414; MCTA - $918,325; Career Link - $995,855.
• Approve an agreement with Tunkhannock Township Volunteer Fire Company for a voting polling site, at no charge.
• Ratify the Budget Adjustment Report dated July 13, totaling $20,000; approve the Budget Adjustment Report dated July 13, totaling $306,134.
• Ratify authorization for the grant manager at the July 19 meeting to electronically submit the FY 2023 Emergency Services Training Center Capital Grant application in the amount of $100,000 for the period of September 2023 to October 2024 for the construction of a Fourth Floor Burn Room at the Office of Emergency Management Monroe County Fireman’s Association Training Facility.
• Approved vendors: Maintenance Department - L. A. Ornamental & Rack Corp.; Area Agency on Aging - Winston Overton and Donald Bell; Assessment - Capital Surveying Supplies.
• Adopt the AMERICA250PA resolution - 250th Anniversary of the United States.
• Accept a proposal from Liquid Engineering of $8,030, to perform tank cleaning and inspections and report on the Correctional Facility and Pleasant Valley Manor water tanks.• Monroe County Transportation Authority - signed the Medical Assistance Sub recipient Monitoring Contract with Monroe County with MCTA so they can provide medical assistance transportation services for $20.04 per trip from July 1 to June 30, 2024.
