Robert J. Tarlton, Lansford, president of the Panther Valley Television Company, Lansford, has been elected national vice chairman of the National Community Television Association, having been named to the post during the 14th annual convention held in Denver, Colorado.

Tarlton’s cable system was the first commercial cable system in the United States and is in operation since 1949. He organized Panther Valley Television in 1950.

In addition to his interest in the TV market, he has served in varying capacities with the Jerrold Electronics Corporation, including chief engineer service manager and community operations manager.
