The Carbon County Commissioners approved the following items during their weekly meeting last Thursday.
• Reappointed Jeffery Hager of Lehighton to another five-year term on the Carbon County Redevelopment Authority. The term expires May 5, 2028.
• Approved a contract with Leonard Ruggiero of Lansford to reconstruct the sidewalk and curbing at the correctional facility at a cost of $22,472.
• Approved a proposal with A & W Plumbing and Heating of Nesquehoning to replace a rooftop 100-gallon hot water heater with a new hot water heater at the correctional facility. The cost is $14,500.
• Approved an amendment and antenna license agreement with Radio Maintenance Inc. of Reading to add radio equipment on the Lehigh Tunnel tower in Lehighton to enhance Fire 1 radio communications in the central and southern end of the county. The annual fee is $14,003.88.
• Ratified a proposal with Forrester Environmental Inc. of McAdoo to perform mold testing services in the district attorney’s office at a cost of $750.
• Reappointed members of the Local Emergency Planning Committee whose terms had expired to another five-year terms.
• Approved a contract with Axon Enterprise Inc. of Scottsdale, Arizona, for the purchase of five Tasers and supplies for the Juvenile Probation department. The five-year contract totals $22,749.22.
