Lehighton boys basketball TEAM wins tourney The Lehighton boys basketball team defeated Upper Perkiomen, 53-36, on Thursday in the championship game of the Lehigh Valley Summer League Small School Division. Lehighton entered the tournament as the fourth seed and upset both top-seeded Bethlehem Christian and second-seeded Upper Perkiomen to capture the title. The league, which held its games at the Whitehall-Copley School District gyms, ran from May 16 until July 20.
