Lehighton boys basketball wins tourney
The Lehighton boys basketball team defeated Upper Perkiomen by a 53-36 score last Thursday in the championship game of the Lehigh Valley Summer League Small School Division. Lehighton entered the tournament as the fourth seed and upset both the top and second-seeded teams to capture the title. The league, which held its games at the Whitehall-Copley School District gyms, ran from May 16 until July 20.
