Two lanes of Route 209 in Franklin Township are closed due to a tractor trailer accident. The crash occurred just before 2 p.m. in the southbound lanes about a quarter mile south of the turnpike. Apparently the operator of a tractor trailer lost control and leveled the center steel guide rails. The rig is disabled on the roadway with at least one blown tire. Franklin township fire police maintained traffic control at the scene. Franklin township police are investigating the incident.
