A Virginia man was killed Sunday afternoon when his vehicle ran into the back of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 78 in Lehigh County.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s office said Evan Denison, 22, of Berryville, Virginia, was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:53 p.m.

The incident occurred at westbound mile marker 47.5, which is in Weisenberg Township. The highway was closed for several hours.

In addition to the coroner’s office, state police at Fogelsville are investigating.
