A 27-year-old Allentown man is dead after a shooting involving Allentown police early Monday morning, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said Monday.

Dominick Hogans was pronounced dead at 4:30 a.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, the coroner’s office said.

The coroner’s office said that Hogans was involved in a shooting with city police at 3:40 a.m. in the 600 block of West Turner St.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

In addition to the coroner’s office, Hogans’ death is being investigated by the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, Allentown Police Department, and with assistance from the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.
