State police at Lehighton said a 9-year-old Kunkletown boy drowned Saturday at Lakeside Drive and Doak Drive in Hemlock Lake, Polk Township. Police said the accidental death happened at 4:19 p.m.

Monroe County Coroner Thomas Yanac said the boy was flown to an out-of-the-area hospital, where he died.

Police said they are investigating.
