The Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company realized a dream Saturday when its members dedicated a 2006 KME Rescue Pumper.
The shiny new truck with a price tag of $438,000 joins the company’s fleet that includes a 1991 E-One Engine pumper, a 1983 Mack tanker and a 1986 Chevrolet brush truck.
The new truck was dedicated to the late Randy Goodhile, who was a former president and lieutenant with the company. His children, Scott and Melissa Goodhile, had the honor of breaking a bottle of champagne over the truck before it was formally presented.
Among the participants in the ceremony were Eric Lilly, lieutenant, Kevin Lilly, fire chief, and Stacey Sheckler, auxiliary vice president.
