Pennridge eliminated Franklin Township in the Section 6 Little League Tournament on Wednesday.

Franklin Township’s run in the Section 6 8-10 Little League Tournament came to an end with a 15-0 loss to Pennridge in the loser’s bracket.

J. Ritter was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored while G. Orsino added two hits, three RBIs, two runs scored and a double for Pennridge, which exploded for eight runs in the top of the fourth inning. M. Wiren added two hits and scored a run for the winners.

On the mound, R. Alba tossed four strong innings, allowing two hits while striking out three.

Pennridge, which lost to Franklin 4-3 in the opening round Monday, will face Holland today.

Parker Cummins and Brody Hunsicker had hits for Franklin.

Berlinsville-Avengers

A big game from Chase Albus on the mound and at the plate helped the Avengers score a 6-0 win over the Berlinsville Braves in Blue Mountain League action.

Albus was 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBIs for the Avengers (10-14). On the mound, Albus tossed six hitless innings, striking out nine and walking one. Dylan Witkowski was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Rommel Perez was 1-for-3 for the Braves (11-14).
