State police at Lehighton report on incidents

State police at Lehighton reported on several incidents:

• A 66-year-old Lehighton woman is facing harassment charges after allegedly threatening a 65-year-old Lehighton man.

Police said they were summoned at 4 p.m. July 13 to a property on Jennifer Lane in East Penn Township, where the man said the woman left him multiple voicemails stating she would go to his residence with a “goomba” and would make sure he ended up in the hospital.

• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened between 9:30 p.m. July 12 and 6:30 a.m. July 13 at 740 Club Road, Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said the victim, a 60-year-old woman from Palmerton, reported someone threw eggs at the side of her house.

• Charges of terroristic threats were filed against Thomas Howells, 41, of Kunkletown, police were summoned at 7:44 p.m. July 11 to a property on Milton Lane, Ross Township.

Police said the victims are a 43-year-old woman from Kunkletown and a 16-year-old girl.

Police said they took Howells into custody after the victims related he threatened them.

• Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on July 8 at the intersection of Route 248 and Centre Street in Parryville and said an uninvolved party ended up being arrested for driving under the influence.

Police said the 45-year-old Lehighton man was driving a 201 Mazda 3. The offense took place between 8:20-8:43 p.m., police said.

• A 40-year-old Saylorsburg woman went to the state police barracks at Lehighton at 11:29 p.m. July 7 to report a theft by deception crime.

Police said she told them her friend’s Facebook account was hacked and she sent her the money via Venmo and Facebook pay.
