July 18, 1952 - Cookie Arner pitches a four-hitter to lead the Lehighton Knee-Hi All-Stars to a 5-3 victory over Palmerton. Arner allows just two walks and strikes out 12. Lehighton, managed by Dallas Heffner, gives its hurler an early lead with two runs in the second inning, and Arner makes the advantage stand up. Sooky Gilbert collects three hits and scores a run for the winners, while Ronald Moyer finishes with a hit and two runs. Lehighton also receives a hit and a run from Roger Ulshafer.
