A nonprofit event to raise funds for animals will resume, but from a different location.

The 13th annual Rockin’ Rescue will continue from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 23 at the Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club.

It was scheduled for July 7 to 9, but only ran July 7 and 8 at 1375 Oak Grove Dr., just off Route 443 across from Tractor Supply in Mahoning Township.

The event was rescheduled because the last day was canceled due of rain, said Donna Crum, president of the Blue Mountain Animal Rescue Society and Carbon County Animal Cruelty Fund.

Sponsored by the Blue Mountain Animal Rescue Society, the event will include the Pennsylvania Villagers from 1 to 4 p.m., plus they need to complete the silent auction, the penny party, and the bakery auction.
