A Lehigh County male is dead after taking a dive into Lake Harmony in Kidder Township Thursday night.

Carbon County Coroner Bob Miller said the victim was identified as Bruno DeSilva, 17, of Bethlehem.

“He was a construction worker and (after work) went to dive in the water and cool off,” Miller said.

Kidder Township Police Department responded to the scene at 6:39 p.m.

Township police Chief Matthew Kuzma said DeSilva “just went swimming after work to cool off.”

Miller said DeSilva was pronounced dead at 10:57 p.m.

He said an autopsy is scheduled for Saturday morning.

Kuzma said also assisting at the scene were the Lake Harmony Fire Department, and Lake Harmony EMS.
