State police at the Lehighton barracks said an 85-year-old woman from Lehighton is the victim of a theft in which someone stole $7,000 from her.

Police said they were called at midnight May 22 to a property on Kaysea Lane in East Penn Township where the victim reported $7,000 was stolen from her bank account.
