State Police at Fogelsville
State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported on several incidents within their coverage area.
• Troopers said a cellphone was found at 5:49 p.m. July 5 at Ontelaunee Park, 7344 Kings Highway, Lynn Township.
Police said the Samsung Galaxy S22 phone was found underneath the pavilion by a man who was there with his friends. A canvass of the park to locate the owner yielded negative results.
Police said the owner of the phone can contact the barracks to set up an appointment to retrieve their property.
• State police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that was reported to them at 12:30 a.m. July 6.
Police said the victim, a 56-year-old woman from New Tripoli, appeared at the barracks and reported she recently noticed damage to her vehicle. The woman told police she was assisting with finding foster homes for two dogs at an address on Red Road in Lynn Township where she believes the damage may have occurred.
• Raymond J. Shelhamer, 79, of Kunkletown, was cited by state police with “vehicle turning left” after a two-vehicle mishap at 2:58 p.m. June 20 at the intersection of Route 22 and Kressler Road in Lower Macungie Township.
Police said he was driving a 2023 Kia Soul that was involved in the crash with a 2010 GMC Savana driven by Georg Malouhi, 47, of Whitehall. No one was injured, including both drivers and Ann Shelhamer, 80, also of Kunkletown, who was a passenger in the Soul.
• Jason E. Krawchuk, 33, of New Tripoli, was cited with “duty to give information and render aid” after a two-vehicle crash at 11:02 p.m. May 19 on Jefferson Court in Lynn Township.
Police said he was driving a 2022 Subaru that struck a 2010 Dodge Durango that was unattended and legally parked on the left side of the roadway. Police said Krawchuk left the scene of the accident.
• Keri J. Schweibinz, 45, of Palmerton, was uninjured in a crash at 10:51 p.m. July 7 at the intersection of the Trexlertown Bypass and Spring Creek Road in Lower Macungie Township.
Troopers said she was driving a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta south on the bypass and was traveling through the intersection when it was struck by a 2008 Ford Edge operated by Amatullah Moria, 64, of Alburtis. She was northbound at the time and attempted to turn left from the bypass onto Spring Hill Road.
Police said Moria was also uninjured. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages, police said.
They said Moria was cited for “turning movements and required signals.”
• State police at the Fogelsville barracks said a 22-year-old New Tripoli man is the victim of a social media incident involving explicit images.
They were called at 3:52 p.m. June 8 to a property on Falcon Street, Lynn Township. Police said they were told an unknown individual is threatening the victim with the posting of explicit images on social media.
