Matthew Kuznicki, from Lehighton and a student at Thaddeus Stevens College of Tech in Lancaster, was awarded the college gold medal in CNC 2-Axis Turning Programmer at the annual SkillsUSA Workforce Development Event.

The championships were held June 21-22 in Atlanta with more than 6,000 students competing. Every state was represented.

A total of 1,250 gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded.
