The board of directors of the Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale, appointed interim chief executive officer, Michael R. Miller, to the position of president/CEO.

Miller has provided his expertise to other healthcare facilities managed by Quorum, most recently having served as president of the Oak Hill Hospital in Joplin, MO, where he currently resides. He and his wife, Helen, will be relocating to the area.

In other business, Dr. Gerald A. Ravitz, M.D., and John J. Tracy were appointed to positions on the board of directors. Ravitz has been a member of the medical staff at the hospital since 1978 and Tracy is the human recourses and labor relations manager for the Atlas Powder Company.
