July 12, 1979 - Lehighton pushes across a run in the top of the seventh inning to gain a 2-1 Lehigh Valley Legion victory over host Emmaus. Art Dietz leads off the seventh with a walk and eventually scores the go-ahead run on an RBI single by Drew Everett. The two also account for the team’s other run, which comes in the fifth, when Dietz singles and races home on an Everett triple. Dave Stanko earns the mound victory, allowing just one run and four hits in a complete-game effort.
